Expanding Health Data Interoperability Services

EXPAND will integrate relevant recommendations from epSOS, SemanticHealthNet (SHN), CALLIOPE, eHR4CR, PARENT, e-SENS and other projects and will be guided by the decisions taken by the eHealth Network (eHN). Work from Trillium Bridge project as well as ongoing work in the eHealth Governance Initiative (eHGI) will also be taken into account. Based on the above, EXPAND will, in conjunction with ambitions from the eHN and the eHGI, help to develop further the eHealth infostructure and a pathway towards establishing and sustaining it.

EXPAND Key Goals

  • Exploit selected eHealth assets developed in EU and/or national initiatives and projects.
  • Foresee a proper handover strategy for the deployment of eHealth services under CEF.
  • Integrate relevant recommendations and decisions taken by the eHealth Network and report backwards on the activities of EXPAND.
  • Bring together a wide range of relevant stakeholders with expertise in the development, implementation, assessment, maintenance, dissemination and use of the elements of an EU wide infostructure.
