What is the EuroRec Seal?

The EuroRec Seal is an annual quality label granted across national borders to EHR systems meeting a "base level" set of functional and quality requirements.

What is the content of the EuroRec Level 1 Seal?

The EuroRec Level 1 Seal contains 20 quality criteria mainly focusing on trustworthiness of the EHR applications. The content of the EuroRec Seal is available on the EuroRec web site.

Who certifies the applications?

The testing and certification can be done by any accredited national authorised body (public or private) as part of a national certification programme or directly by EuroRec on request of the individual industrial supplier of an EHR system.

What are the conditions to submit a product?

The conditions are defined locally by the accredited body in case of a national certification programme. Direct certification through EuroRec is done at cost basis (travel, subsistence and a three days manpower fee).

How and how long does the EuroRec Seal last?

The EuroRec Seal can be used on any documentation and for any publicity regarding the EHR system as far as related to the certified version of the application and no longer than the end of the year following the year of the Seal.
